Floor removal doesn’t always happen in a wide-open space. Commercial projects can mean working around racking, counters, walls and other areas where access becomes just as important as removal power.
The 6280 Commander Walk-Behind Floor Scraper combines a narrow 45 cm footprint with a quick-adjust multi-position handle, helping operators adapt the machine to different working environments.

Why the Handle Position Matters
The Commander’s handle isn’t fixed in one working position.
Its quick-adjust multi-position handle allows the angle to be changed to suit the operator and the space around the machine. Lowering or repositioning the handle can provide additional clearance where a standard upright handle would get in the way.
This can be particularly useful when working:

Rather than the handle determining where the scraper can go, operators have greater flexibility to configure the machine around the work area.

A 45 cm Wide Walk-Behind Scraper
At approximately 45 cm wide, the Commander maintains a relatively narrow footprint while still providing the weight and hydraulic drive required for demanding soft-goods removal.
Combined with the adjustable handle, its narrow machine width helps the Commander reach flooring that may be more difficult to access with larger equipment.
Working Closer to Walls and Edges
Getting the machine into the space is only part of the challenge.
The Commander’s tooling can also be offset within the cutting head. This allows the blade to extend further towards one side of the machine when working along walls and toe kicks.
For operators, this can help reduce the amount of flooring left behind in areas where the body of the machine cannot travel directly over the material.

Easier to Configure for Transport
The adjustable handle is useful after the removal work is finished too.
It can fold flat over the machine, reducing the Commander from approximately 130 cm long to 74 cm long and from 117 cm high to 76 cm high.
The Commander also includes dedicated transport wheels, while its industrial-grade traction wheels can be disengaged to assist with non-powered movement.
These features help make loading, unloading, storage and movement between work areas more practical.

The 6280 Commander is designed specifically for soft-goods applications including commercial carpet, VCT, sheet vinyl, rubber flooring, linoleum and sport surfaces.
